GLOBAL MARKET UPDATE
Advisory Bazaar Info Services
🔹 US Equity Markets:
US equity markets settled higher, gaining between 0.28% and 1.30%. The Nasdaq led the gains, while the S&P 500 closed at a record high. A surprisingly weak July US jobs report increased expectations that the Federal Reserve may have less reason to raise interest rates in the near term.
🔹 European Markets:
European equity markets ended on a flat to mildly positive note.
🔹 Asian Markets:
Most Asian equity markets are trading with a positive bias on Monday, taking cues from the strong finish on Wall Street last week. However, investors remain cautious amid uncertainty over US-Iran negotiations and elevated crude oil prices.
🔹 GIFT Nifty:
GIFT Nifty is little changed. Nifty Futures are likely to open around the 24,650 level.
🔹 Crude Oil:
Crude oil prices moved higher on mixed signals surrounding the Iran situation. US President Donald Trump said the US is “semi-negotiating” with Iran while continuing to build economic pressure on the country.
Brent Crude rose 1.10% to $84.47 per barrel.
📌 Market Outlook:
Soft US employment data is supporting expectations of a less hawkish Federal Reserve, providing a positive backdrop for global equities. However, geopolitical uncertainty surrounding Iran and elevated crude prices could keep volatility high.
