🔹 U.S. equity markets closed higher, gaining between 0.83% and 1.22%.

🔹 European equity markets ended the session flat to slightly higher.

🔹 Asian equity markets are trading higher in early session today.

🔹 Sensex–Nifty are currently trading lower by around 140–35 points.

India’s Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation rose to 2.13% in February, marking an 11-month high. The increase was mainly driven by rising prices of primary articles such as food and non-food items. Economists expect inflationary pressures to increase further due to higher input costs and ongoing geopolitical tensions. Prices of manufactured products also recorded a modest rise.

In the overnight U.S. session, equity markets moved higher while oil prices edged slightly lower. Investors continue to monitor the latest developments related to the Iran conflict.

Asian markets are trading higher today amid expectations that more oil tankers may be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, which also supported a positive sentiment on Wall Street.

However, oil prices jumped more than 2% in early Tuesday trading due to ongoing supply concerns, as much of the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, and U.S. allied nations have declined requests to send warships to escort oil tankers.
