US equity markets ended on a negative note.

European equity markets also closed flat to lower.

Most Asian indices are trading in the red.

On the domestic front, Sensex and Nifty are trading lower by 425 and 125 points respectively.

After four consecutive days of gains, Wall Street witnessed a decline, while US Treasury yields surged amid a global bond selloff, as markets await the Federal Reserve’s final policy meeting of the year.

Pressure in Asian markets has increased as investors remain cautious about the pace of further monetary easing by the Fed after this week’s expected rate cut.

Crude oil prices stabilized after witnessing the sharpest fall in nearly three weeks. Traders are awaiting key reports due this week to assess the extent of the supply glut. Brent crude stabilized above $62.
